IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR MEMBERS BUYING PERMITS FOR COLNBROOK WEST AND ORLITTS LAKE

THAMES WATER IVER SLUDGE MAIN REPLACEMENT

We have received the following from Thames Water regarding the above which will take place from April 2014 through to July 2015.

In relation to our works affecting your fishery, part of the works will occupy some of the current parking spaces. In order to mitigate any impact our works may have on your business, as agreed we shall extend the hard standing area around the Lakeside Road South Shaft (Colnbrook West Car Park) by clearing the vegetation by around 5m so that you can maintain access past our works for the duration of the project.

At three separate occasions (approx. late July, early September and mid-October – dates subject to change based upon progress) we shall take up a section of the main access road, welding and testing pipes for approx. 3-4 days. During this period we shall ensure the pipe does not block the access but it may impact upon parking. Exact dates for this shall be provided with at least 7 days’ notice.

For pipe pulling we SHALL NEED TO BLOCK THE ACCESS FOR A PERIOD OF APPROX 2 HOURS SO THAT WE CAN WINCH THE PIPE FROM GRUNDONS SHAFT THROUGH. Again this process would occur three times during the works. The pipe pulling activities shall all be constrained to between 6pm and 5am in relation to timescales based upon the needs to limit disruption to Grundons.

Other than this disruption we may on occasion block the track for short periods moving equipment on these occasions we would ask for the users cooperation and we would hope to minimise any inconvenience caused by such occasions.

A copy of the letter from Thames Water will be given out with the permits.

Please be aware that the parking restrictions along Lakeside Road are still in force these have not been relaxed.
