An abundance of features…

Orlitts Lake is a natural seven-acre water that is challenging and rewarding in equal measure, including gravel bars running in all directions and small plateaus at various depths around the lake. Add to this the silty areas and we have several good feeding zones for the Carp.

The lake has various snaggy features, with tree-lined margins for the fish to patrol, as well as various islands and reed beds. The small bays around the lake give the fish a safe place to hide and offer some stalking opportunities.

The lake gets weedy in the summer providing excellent opportunities to fish in around the weed beds and channels.

On the roadside of the lake there are eight swims – three doubles and five singles, all of which have behind-swim parking. The riverbank has nine swims – eight singles and one double.

Car parking for Orlitts Lake is allowed in the Colnbrook West Lake car park, which is situated at the main gate.

The roadside bank is accessed through security gates where the toilet facilities are also located.

There have been some major improvements at Orlitts Lake. The Riverbank path has been cleared and widened, swims have been rebuilt and new fencing installed, adding to all the security improvements that have recently been made.
