Herons Point Complex at Farlows Lake
Farlows Lake in Iver, Bucks is the home of the Herons Point Complex, situated at the tip of a spur in the centre of Farlows Lake.
The Herons Point complex houses Farlows Tackle and the Lakeside Café and licenced bar, there are also men and womens showers along with toilets and an area to refill water containers.
In December 2007 Boyer Leisure took over the management of the complex and an extensive program of renovations began, this included the building of new shower rooms and toilets as well as a total revamp of both the bar and the café.
The new Lakeside Café opened in February 2008 and the Lakeside Bar re-opened in April.
Plans for the summer months include the provision of evening meals at weekends and other busy periods as well as the possibility of introducing 'swim delivery' for food from the Lakeside Café.
The Lakeside bar enjoys almost unobstructed views of a large portion of Farlows Lake offering a fully licensed bar with darts and a tournament sized pool table as well as a large patio area with outdoor seating.
Just out side the patio area are the Herons Point 'swims' , spread around two sides of the complex and providing fishing for up to nine anglers these swims are bookable in advance through Farlows Tackle either singularly or as a whole*. The patio area outside the bar has room for a marquee and there is a fairly large car park to the rear of the building.
The Lakeside Bar will be bookable for parties and other events either with or without the surrounding swims and provides the ideal environment for fishing related events and promotions.
Farlows Tackle is attached to the main building and offers a wide variety of fishing equipement seven days a week.
On the carp side there is terminal tackle from Fox, Wychwood, Korda, Gardner, Richworth and Rig Marole as well as bait both frozen and readymade from Mainline, Heathrow Bait Services, Richworth, Carp Company and Dynamite. The full range of Dynamite particles, pellets and groundbait is stocked as well as pop up's and dips to match the boilies.
The pleasure angler is well catered for with a range of lighter tackle and during the colder months the tackle shop stocks a range of predator related items including a range of frozen deadbaits and the sale of livebaits.
