A 45 acre working Gravel pit Harefield is famous for its severe gravel bars, whilst the gravel bars are no longer so severe this is still by no means an easy carp water.

Containing carp to over 40lb the venue has received several selective stockings over the last few years, this concluded with the final stage in November 2007 when the last 64 carp from the harefield strain were returned home.

Over the last season Harefield has acquired a reputation as a top Bream water with many anglers reporting multiple catches of double figure fish, the biggest Bream reported last season was just over 14lb.

Accessed through combination locked gates Harefield Lake has two car parks, one only a 'pub chuck' from the famous Horse & Barge. The car park also houses the lakes toilet facilities.
