The complex consists of a twenty five acre main lake, a five acre purpose build match lake and a heavily stocked junior pool.
On a spit of land pointing out into the main lake you can find the Herons Point Complex. These building’s contain a Lakeside Bar, this fully licensed bar caters to the anglers and the general public and provides bar games including a competition specification pool table and darts. The Lakeside cafe is situated next to the bar and caters for both breakfasts and lunchtime meals seven days a week during the Summer months. The bar and cafe are both bookable for fishing related and other events and enquiries should be made directly to the bar. In the same buildings you will find Farlows Tackle which is open seven days a week and is well stocked with bait for anglers of every persuasion as well as most items of end tackle and any other bits that often get forgotten.
The Herons Point Complex also provides toilet and shower facilities for ladies, gentlemen and disabled anglers.
Farlows main lake has hosted the British Carp Angling Championships since there inception and is a popular choice for many angling clubs and corporate days out. With twenty four hour bailiffs, CCTV security systems and security locked gates Farlows is one of the uk’s most popular day ticket waters, as an added bonus there is also the facility to park directly behind your swim over 90% of the lake. 2009 saw a lot of work carried out to improve access along the M25 and Factory Bank with the whole area raised and widened considerably with the space for bivvies improved.
The records for both the biggest Mirror and the biggest Common Carp living in Farlows Lake fell at the end of 2009. The ‘Pretty One’ was landed in late November 2009 at a new top weight of thirty nine pounds two ounces and the Common record is now held by a fish of just over thirty eight pounds. New thirties banked over the last year mean that at times Farlows Lake has up to forty fish over thirty pounds with nearly a third of those exceeding thirty five pounds. There are hundreds and hundreds of twenties and untold amounts of doubles, we would estimate the total Carp stock to now be in excess of fifteen hundred fish.
Farlows Match Lake continues to attract clubs from all over the country and our stocking policy ensures good weights recorded even through the Winter months with the current best single peg match weight exceeding two hundred pounds. In the Winter months Farlows becomes the place to go for the Pike angler with some very big fish and multiple catches recorded on almost a weekly basis. The biggest fish reported was just over thirty two pounds although regulars tell us bigger fish have been on the bank.
 In winter farlows becomes a pike anglers paradise with multiple catches easily achievable, the winter of 2006/2007 saw a new record for big pike captures although the lake record still stands at 32lb.
