Boyer Leisure control a number of still waters and
stretches of rivers in the west London
area and mainly in the counties of
Middlesex and Buckinghamshire,all are
within easy reach of all the major
routes through both these counties (M25,
M4, A40M and A4), making most of our
venues fairly easily found on most maps.
Amongst our 10 lakes and 2 rivers are a
30 acre and a 4 acre lake that are
available on a season permit, plus there
is also a ¾ mile stretch of the River
Thames that can also be fished on either
a day ticket or season permit.
Some of our stillwaters
close for a period of 2 months (March
and April). We are planning to maintain
this closed period in the foreseeable
future. To conform to the Environment
Agency rules our rivers close for a
period of 3 months between 14th March -
16th June. Harefield lake will also be
closed between the above dates due to
English Nature's S.S.S.I rules.
But these lakes do start
fishing better once the bait starts to
be introduced. Most of our other venues
did get off to a tremendous start this
season, which saw new lake records set
in a few different species of fish and a
number of new personal best fish caught
by many of our members, be it size or
total quantity of fish banked during the
first few visits to their chosen venue.
We try to cater for
every angler whether they be match,
pleasure, specimen, juniors or just
starting up fishing, through to the very
experienced angler. Another of our
schemes that has been proving very
popular over the last couple of seasons
has been the "Fishing guest" and "Non
fishing guest" permits, giving the
chance for friends and families to all
go fishing together, which is what we
are trying to encourage more each year.
Our friendly bailiffs
that are present at all of our venues
will, when asked, try to offer as much
help and assistance as they can to the
best of their knowledge. Close
monitoring will be kept on all of our
waters again this season due to the
continuing growth of different species
of weed that seem to be thriving during
the warm summers and mild winters.
Tight Lines!
